How do I book a painting?

What kind of paintings will you do?
I specialize in painting portraits of celebrities, athletes, and musicians! Please note that I don't create portraits of personal family, friends, or pets.
What is the minimum payment?
My oil paintings start at $300, as they require a lot of time and effort. This includes covering the costs of materials like canvases, paints, brushes, and other supplies. Prices can vary depending on the size of the canvas and the number of portraits included in the painting. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
How do I pay?
For payments, I accept cash or Venmo for my paintings. Please note that I don't accept card or other cash app payments. Once your painting is ready, you can either pick it up from my studio or I can deliver it to you within 30 miles of the studio. Let me know which option works best for you!
How long do the paintings take to dry?
How long do the paintings take to dry? Since I exclusively use oil paint, the drying process can take up to 6 months. When I deliver your completed painting, I recommend hanging it in a dry, safe place right away and avoiding touching it for those 6 months. If needed, I can also store it for you during this time if shipping is required.
How long does it take to do a painting?
How long does it take to do a painting? Well, each layer needs a few days to dry between sessions. Considering my busy schedule and these dry times, I usually request about a month to complete a painting. However, for special cases, I can expedite the process and finish it in 1-2 weeks. Just let me know your timeline, and I'll do my best to accommodate!
What size/type of canvas do you use?
I typically work with canvases I buy from Hobby Lobby or Michaels, usually around 18x24 inches. While I don't paint anything smaller than that, I can go larger if needed. The canvas thickness ranges from 1 inch to 2-3 inches, depending on the piece. As for framing, I leave that up to you, but I do paint the borders so they look nice without framing. Let me know if you have any preferences or special requests!
Do you ship your paintings?
Absolutely! However, please keep in mind that they must be completely dry before shipping, which typically takes anywhere from one month to six months, depending on the layers needed. I do ask for a $100 deposit via Venmo for paintings that require shipping. This ensures that I have the shipping costs covered upfront and that I receive the remaining payment upon completion before sending out the artwork.
